Two machines can't use sync'd files as the machine IDs are different.
Consider an external database instead -- see instructions here.
Hi,
I've got 2 windows 10 pro machines running on the same network.
rekordbox with identical libraries on both machines.
Windows Usernames are same & music folder is G:\Music on both machines.
Downloaded a program to keep files in sync call FreeFileSyns and its got no problems keeping folders synced, but rekordbox library won't update even though the files are identical in both folders.
i am syncing the %appdata%\pioneer folders.
Can someone point me what im doing wrong?

also i've read through this thread
but the link in the first reply that op is being told to follow is dead
I got it to work. but one way only for some reason. If i do work on my main pc, i can update the laptop, and all cue points and playlists are transferred. However i can't do it the other way round :(
@Artie > Are you using an external database now, or did you follow the instructions on moving it? If it's external and you then move it from computer to computer, it will update regardless of the location.
Pulse, no I'm just cloning the appdata folder of my PC to my laptop and it works! Can't seem to update the PC from laptop using the same technique. However now in the license tab it shows that I've got 2 ComputerID's
Yeah, I'm not even going to touch that -- you're copying data around that shouldn't be copied; basically an unsupported technique and fraught with potential problems.
