SX2 continuous thumping noise on Ch1 and Ch4

Set up for a gig and the SX2 was emitting a thumping noise (like a kick drum) the volumes have no effect on it and although the songs load and appear to play you cannot hear them only the thumping sound.

The VU's on ch1 and ch4 bounce with the thump noise and this is continuous whether the usb cable is connected or not.

Ive tried updating firmware but no change.

I had to use the macbook and iTunes to play the night.

Please advise, the nearest service centre want £50 plus 20% VAT just to look at it!

I am a professional radio DJ and got rid of my CDJ's because I loved this unit, this is a great disappointment, please help

@Jason > Was the same thing happening if you changed the deck control over to decks 2 and 3 and assigned the CH1 and CH4 to Line (or Mic)?

Hi, yes same thing no matter what deck is selected or input etc

Even with the USB unplugged it still makes this noise

Sounds to me like a hardware problem, please contact Pioneer DJ technical support in your region to have your SX2 serviced. If it's under a year old, it will be covered by warranty. Outside of that period there may be a charge for inspection and repair.
