What I want is to route the microphone output into a DAW when I select DDJ-RX as the input. I need to add reverbs, compressors, etc. to do vocals along with the tracks, I don't want to get an audio interface just for this one purpose.
When I had a DDJ SR, I was able to route the output of the decks and the microphone into Ableton Live. Granted it wasn't ideal because I just wanted the microphone output.
I got a DDJ RX hoping that since the microphone is given an actual channel (channel 4), I could select channel 4 as the input and have it like that. I was wrong.
For some reason, I could route the DDJ RX's output when Rekordbox is not opened (looks like it's just like the SR, both deck and mics, except that there's no deck in standalone mode), but when I open Rekordbox, it falls apart. Suddenly there's no signal on the inputs. I can still output Ableton's sound just fine into the RX, but the RX's sounds arn't going into Ableton at all.
What's going on here? I know the hardware is capable of doing it since the signal i receiving when Rekordbox is not opened. How do I bypass this software limitation? Best if there's a way to just input the microphone's signal into Ableton. Thanks!
