I have this problem too. I needed to setup a cue point at the beggining of each track.
I hate that pressing the auto-loop button sets the CUE position to the beggining of the loop.
I think that is the way the CDJs work.
As the title suggest, Using the gate playback option auto loop sometimes starts playback on my DDJ-SZ.
One way I have found to replicate is by doing the following.
Load a track, Press play, press Cue to re cue track. Press auto-loop, track will begin playing.
To work around this I have found that if I have a hot cue at the start of the track and press that after pressing cue the auto-loop will not begin playing.
Basically sometimes it seems to works other times it doesn't. I have had similar responses with hot cues as well. My experiences have been very random.
I certainly hope this will be fixed. I really like what has been done thus far and expect great things from such a reputable company. However, I am nearing the end of my 30 day trial and frankly this is making me very hesitant on purchasing a license.

Which version of rekordbox are you guys using?
@Diego > Yes, it emulates the operation of the CDJs.
4.2.0 Rev 8000-8457-8200
Thanks, I figured it was emulating CDJ's just use to the way it works in serato.
If you could add a "serato like" cue/loop behaviour we would be very happy!
Agreed.
