Volume levels on DDj SX2

This is directed to the dj's that have upgraded from the Pioneer DDJ SX to Pioneer DDJ SX2. Have any of you feel like the Sx2 has very low gain and master volume levels? when I Dj'd With my SX, i ussually have the gains on channel 1 & 2 at about the 11 o'clock level and the master at 11 or 12 o'clock never even came close to the red lights turning on.
Yesterday was my 1st time using my SX2 at a gig and my channel 1 & 2 gains where at 10 o'clock and my master volume at like 2 o'clock and i was in the red. Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it? I feel like the SX2 has a cheaper sound card.

Due to customer feedback, the channel gains on the SX2 have been boosted over those of the SX, as a result, the SX2 is louder.

You shouldn't be simply turning the trim knob to the same position, but adjusting it to a point where the song levels peak at the first orange LED marker. You'll find this is more around the 9-10 o'clock position.

Thanx mark. I did. it's a little bit less than the 1/2 way mark (11o'clock)

And the results posted above are with your Serato volume at 11 o'clock?

Yes Sir. when I Dj'd with my SX, I never was in the red. my channel 1 & 2 gains where always at 11o'clock and my master was always below 12o'clock and I had lots of volume and the 2nd set of lights on the master volume meter hardly ever turned on.

so if I lower my channel 1 & 2 gain, my master volume is going to be like at 3 o'clock. not leaving me with much head room to play with. look at my picture. if I lower the gains to 9 o'clock, then that means that I have to put up my master volume.

The SX2 has more than enough headroom, don't look at your knobs, look at the levels.

I do look at the levels. look at my picture. if i put the gain level up, I'm in the red in each cannel. It just feel s totally different from my SX. I never had this problem with my SX.

I have the same problem...the gain knobs dosn't works well at all. From 0 point when u turn the knob to the right the sound comes οut suddenly...and the leds are comes red from 9 oclock position. You thinking that is destrotion but if u see inside serato and u hear the sound its normal. From 9 position to 12 it does not change a lot.Sound remains almost the same. Also in the headphones mix u can't understand too...So the only thing works for me is to play with the gain controls of serato with the mouse not using the gain knobs. It is unneceptable to give more than 900 euros and have everytime to correct with the mouse the trim gain levels. I think Pio doesn't give matter to the Serato users anymore..SX2 works fine with Rekordbox as i show cause i test it...So whats the point? Going to rekordbox, I understand it well?

As previously posted, the gain curve was changed due to requests made by SX users.

I use the SX2 myself every week and don't have problems fine tuning the gain so the channel doesn't redline.
