My collection has 26 GB of music
My playlists have 58.7 GB of music
How is this possible?
When I sync the playlist to a USB, it takes up 58.7 GB of space. I looked into the folder structure of the USB drive and I found folders with 3 different copies of the same track. These copies don't exist in the Rekordbox collection, I checked.
What's happening here? Does it add a new file each time a track shows up in a playlist? So if you have the same song in 3 different playlists in will copy 3 different versions of the file?

I reformatted the drive and re-synced. It seemed to resolve the problem. Any info on how this might have happened and how files are managed on USB drives would be useful to troubleshoot further issues.
It's still weird that if I select the entire collection in Rekordbox it says 26GB, and if I select playlists it says 58.7 GB.
what version are you on of Rekordbox?
if 4.2, try and go back to 4.1.2 and try again, there is an issue with 4.2 duplicating tracks
