CDJ 2000 NXS2 minute markers are not positioned right

Hi everyone,

I have noticed that the first minute marker on the CDJ 2000NXS2 isn't positioned on the 1 minute mark, it is positioned like 7 seconds before (53 secs). But the time between each minute marker is right (1 minute). Therefore all of the minute markers are shifted and are not in the right position.

Any ideas how to fix this or if I am missing something here?

Best regards,
Mirshak

Have you checked in Rekordbox to make sure your Beat Grids are correct?

the beat grids shouldn't have anything to do with the CDJ minute markers, those are just based off the length of the song

Hey Jay,

as BriChi said, the minute markers have nothing to do with the beat grid. It is related to the length/time of the track. But for your info, all of the tracks are analysed by the latest rekordbox version and its beat grid is revised by me that the beat grid markers are on beat.
So how can I correct the location of the markers? I saw in several videos on Youtube (like reviews of the NXS2 players etc...) that the minute markers aren't positioned right. So I think that it is not only a problem with the players I use/used, but it is a general problem.

Regards!

@Fady > Could you please take a photo of the display where this occurs? Take two photos, one where the play position is away from the line (so it can be seen) and another where the play position is aligned over the marker to show the time in the display as being incorrect.

Hello Pulse,

sorry for the late reply but I am on vacation now and will be back home in a week. Before I left on vacation I visited the music store called Session in Frankfurt, Germany, where I usually buy my equipment. I checked the CDJ 2000 NXS2 they have on display and the players had the same issue. I asked the guy working in the DJ equipment department and he knew nothing about this problem. It was the first time he recognises it. Moreover I watched a lot of youtube videos about the CDJ 2000 NXS2 and as far as I can see, all of them have the same problem. I also played on 2 couples of CDJ 2000 NXS2 in different gigs and all four players had the issue too.

I'll send you the pictures you requested when I am back from my vacation, but please at the same time try some of the CDJ's you have. They should have the same problem.

Best Regards,
Mirshak.
