Link Monitor with DJM-900nxs2

When using Link Monitor am I suppose to be using only a cat5e cable to hear the file I'm playing in rekordbox's export mode?

I have the "Link Monitor" box in rekordbox settings checked and have the link cue button below the sound color fx parameter knob activated, but I'm not hearing anything in the headphones.

Are you hooked up to a mixer or the laptop direct?

I had a similar issue in the beginning. For me it was a Firewall issue. Norton Security was blocking it. While ProLink was working I couldn't hear anything via Link Monitor. I excluded the rekordbox program folder from Norton Security and it Worked.

I am hooked up directly using a thunderbolt to ethernet adapter.

It was indeed the firewall that was preventing me from using the Link Monitor function. After temporarily disabling the firewall in system preferences, I was able to get audio through the Link cue.
