Do you mean Export Mode? The audio is sent out and could be captured through the core audio out, but what input are ypou looking for and with what external soundcard?
Is it possible to record in Rekordbox running in external mode? I can't set any input channel in the recording prefs. Application says there is no input channel. Of course there are.
Anybody knows?

No in performance mode using an external mixer and an external audio interface. The mixer's record out is plugged in to the input channel of the soundcard and I want to record the incoming single. But I can't chose any input channel in Rekordbox's recording prefs. Thanks
* incoming signal I meant
Why are you not recording internally with Rekordbox?
It's not possible to record internally when Rekordbox is running in external mode isn't it?
So the audio out of Rekordbox is going into a mixer that has record outputs, but they aren't sending a signal to the external sound card? So it's still early here in the US!
Yes, next to the Performance drop down window it goes- FX-CFX-SAMPLER-MIXER-REC
Left deck of Rekordbox is sending the signal to Output 1 of soundcard which is plugged into an external mixer. Right deck is sending it's signal to Output 2 of the soundcard. So it's just a simple external DVS setup. But I can't set an input recording channel in Rekordbox' prefs. When I try this the application says that there is no recording channel available. You understand what I mean? I can post a screenshot when I'm at home later
Yes please, but also in Audio Preferences is the Input Channel- Input Record set to Master Out?
No I can't chose anything there. It's just grayed out. But Master Out wouldn't be right when Rekordbox is running in external mode right? I mean both decks are sending their output signal to separate outputs and not through the master out.
Are you using a controller with Rekordbox DJ?
I'm using Rekordbox DVS with an NI Audio 6 interface and an external analog mixer.
Hi Jay, it's just like expected. When mixer mode is set to external you cannot chose "input record". When mixer mode is set to internal you can record the "master out" signal. Would be great to have "line-in recording" available in a future update for everyone who is using external hardware mixers.
Hi Sebastian,
I agree with you, when external mode selected you cannot record and cannot select a source to assign to the record function.
Thank you
I have a solution to the external input record issue !
As many of you who have used other DJ software will know, its only Rekordbox DJ that won't allow you to record an external input signal !
So to solve this issue you will need to run 2 DJ programs at the same time !
I know its not the best solution to this problem, but seeing as Pioneer are incapable of fixing it, this seems to be the quickest and easiest way.
1 ) Simply turn RBDJ on and set up the audio out to your mixer or sound card.
2 ) Turn on Traktor or Serato and go to the audio settings and only turn on the input to that program.
You can now DJ from RBDJ and the second program will record the master audio as long as the mixer/sound card has the option of input signal.
As long as your computer has enough RAM it will work fine.
Like i said, its not the best solution, but it does solve the problem for now.
So far I have only tried this with Traktor Pro, but the idea should work with most music programs. If you don't have a second music program, then try "Audacity" you can usually download it for free online, and that should also work too.
Let me know if any of you get this to work with other programs.
