Rekordbox Dj and Xone K2

Hello,

i have two CDJs 900 NXS and a Xone 92.

Want to use all the nice features of RB DJ and think about getting a Xone K2 and mapping it.

What are your experiences sofar?

Do you get most features mapped?

Any alternatives to the K2 in order to use FX and Slicer and stuff?

Hello Björn,

I've just received my K2 and going through the mapping right now.
It's working great though the midi learning feature is still young and misses some actions in rekordbox.

For instance, you can display the interface with the first 8 pads for hotcues/samplers/pad effects but you can't cycle to the next 8 pads through midi. You'll have to click on the button in rekordbox for that.

Also, the rotary encoders are not really supported at this point. I intended to use them to cycle through FX beat settings but there are seen as a simple button.

Was also hoping to see the rotary's being supported.

As i'm no Midi expert, do you know whether these flaws may be subject to improvements in the software allowing for the missing functionality or is this more a matter of support for the K2?

Hi Björn !

I did some more mapping yesterday and found BPM FX functions to be working with the rotary encoders (names weren't explicit though). (Same BPM function for PAD FX though does not support rotary encoders yet).

It's more a matter of wether Pioneer will add support for rotary encoders on specific actions or not. The K2 itself is working perfectly fine and is a great addition to my Wego 3.
