Pionner DDJ SX MIDI mode switch

 Hey all, I have an issue when I switch from Serato mode to midi mode. Everytime I switch from serato mode to midi mode, I have to unplug the ddj sx with the USB plugged in order get the midi to work. Is this by design?

Hi,

That´s the recommend way to Switch between the modes.
See Manual Page 25


Launching the utility settings mode :
* Step 1. Disconnect the USB cable from your computer.

 

*Note: when the utility settings mode is started up while this unit and a computer
are connected by USB cable, the set status may not be displayed properly.
