Hi,

Firstly, I apologise for the tone of my opening message, I was a bit disappointed when I opened up the midi learn section for the video to see the lack of options :-(

Anyway, Initially I am trying to map it to my Traktor Kontrol X1 and my plan was to use 1 x rotary knob to control the X axis and the other to control the Y axis. Ultimately I would like to control it via Touch OSC (or similar app) on the ipad or maybe via a Kaoss Pad if possible?

Thank you very much for answering our question about what MIDI controller you would like to use with rekordbox. Product Planners of rekordbox are glad to receive useful input about the possible support of non-Pioneer DJ products. 

Currently, we do not support any non-Pioneer DJ models, but in future we plan to suppport some non-PDJ products.

I think you're missing the point.

I presume, Whether I use my Pioneer DDJ-SP1 or my Traktor X1, the midi signal is not generted and sent from the software to be able to use any midi controller (Piomeer or not)

So from what you are saying above, If i use a Pioneer product such as my SP1 should that show more midi learn options that my X1?

I think my problem same as Dan. And I not understand the answers. What is the relationship between the MIDI and PDJ products? MIDI is MIDI.

I have a DDJ-SP1. This is a PDJ product, so in theory no problem. I want to use Video Touch FX. But I not found MIDI in the Rekordbox. Why? OK, possible with the DDJ-RZX. But there are some who can not buy the DDJ-RZX. Or is not relevant? Or there is a solution, only I can't see?

same here, I just bought ddj1000 for 1200$ and a rekordbox video for 130$ and expect it to work however I like it with any midi controller for the xy pad, a bit of a dirty monopoly if you ask me. I could use resolume instead but you have no link bpm options for rekordbox (obviously so people buy video), so I ditched out extra $$$ for the video, at least make it worth the money. Please add some midi linking options, it's just not fair for the end user.

Why not have an iphone/ipad app with the xy pad touch screen, or even be able to link some 3rd party midi controllers to the xy pad

I'm surprised it's been over 2 yrs since the original post and nothing has been changed
