no issues here. start drinking the vodka instead of cleaning ur equipment with it.
The silver ring started beading down in tears of paint after wiping them down with a microfiber cloth + rubbing alcohol to clean them after a party - my other CDJ hasn't suffered from this yet. I've always used rubbing alcohol to clean my DJ equipment and have never had this issue before.
Effectively the silver ring is gone from one of my units.
The plastic gear mechanism that helps the CDJ track the Jog Wheel has fallen out of place twice from beatmatching (I've very light on my own equipment).
- Opened up the unit and put it back in place and the screw holes stripped after unscrewing.
I'm convinced on this generation of CDJ's that Pioneer cut corners on the manufacturing process, kinda bummed for such a expensive piece of DJ equipment to start falling apart on me so quickly. I've had my NXS2 setup for less than a year, never had any problems like this when I had my NXS1 gear. :/

If you've had the units for under a year, they're still covered under Manufacturer's Warranty, though I'm not sure if popping open the units would void said warranty.
Pure alcohol (medical/OTC grade 70% or higher) is incredibly harsh to use for cleaning. In fact, most electronic hardware (and furniture for that matter) will specifically state to avoid using any chemicals when cleaning exterior surfaces, instead favoring the use of a damp cloth with water (or extremely mild detergent that been diluted) along with a microfiber cloth. Personally, I've found a lightly damp microfiber cloth followed by a dry microfiber cloth works everything time for the surface. If needed, the cleaning can be prefaced with the use of compressed air to blow away any dust particles–though I would avoid using it anywhere near the touch screens.
Cheers.
Everything fine now, except the screw holes that hold the jog wheel in place are stripped :(
