DDJ SB2 firmware update? and what seems to be a common issue with the jog wheel.

Two questions...

1) When is there going to be an update to the firmware for the Pioneer SB2?

2) I've noticed others that are having trouble with one their jog wheels getting stuck while using Serato DJ. the problem seems to start when using the jog wheels for scratching or just using them in general.. after a while one of the jog wheels (normally the right one) won't respond anymore. the right deck will no longer play when the play button is pressed... however if you use the mouse to move the wave on serato the deck will play again and will STOP as soon as you touch the jog wheel again. I'm thinking this could be a issue that will be fix in the firmware update.

I've heard people mention using different USB ports or even USB cables but I'm more of the thinking that.. those aren't the problems as multiple people are having the same issue and have tested with different USB ports and cables.

1) When needed.

2) Yes, you've posted that to several topics in the forums - please don't do that. I don't need to say the same thing over and over.

As I've posted, please contact Pioneer DJ technical support for further assistance to have it diagnosed if this issue persists across multiple computers and different versions of Serato DJ.

1) Thanks for the response.

The reason I asked about the firmware update is to see if there was going to be continued support for the DDJ SB2 (I understand that the firmware update will come when needed so hopefully that's a good sign)

2) The posts I responded to were already posts that were posted about the same issue so it wasn't like I brought up a new topic several times.. I was merely responding to the several people that posted to inform them that they weren't the only ones with that problem.

3) I've done some testing on my end and based on other information that has be passed on the issue seems to be a USB issue. I used older USB cables that I had laying around from my midi keyboards and machine and akai products and so far I haven't noticed any issues with the JOG wheel.. perhaps the cable shipped with the SB-2 was defective or something.

I haven't tested with a powered USB hub but so far the issue seems to have been resolved for me (so far) I guess quality USB cables make a difference and perhaps even the USB ports themselves. I do know that when I used the USB cable shipped with the SB-2.. I used it on all USB ports and kept getting the problem.

Trust me we all understand it's hard to deal with a bunch of people posting issues and can seem a bit much when we continue to mention the same issue over and over but at the end of the day I'm sure users with the same problem... feel a bit of relief knowing they aren't the only ones having the same issue.

In any event I thank you for your support as I'm still very happy with the pioneer SB-2 and think it's a great unit.
