Shortening Loop then beat goes out of sync?
Hiya,
I've noticed an issue. I have a track on Deck A playing and a track on Deck B paying, both in perfect sync. The track on A is just playing through and the track on B is looped for 4 bars at the start. When I go to cut the loop in half by pressing the 1/2x Loop < button (just at 1 oclock position north of the jog weel), If i don't press it exactly in the right time then the track on B goes out of sync. In my experience of using Serato and the DDJ-SX same feature, it always keeps the tracks in sync and just cuts your loop in half normally. I have SYNC and quantize on. Can anyone help how to stop this happening on the CDJ?

The mixer Quantize setting shouldn't matter in this case.
Assuming the track has been properly analyzed/beatgridded in Rekordbox, you can try adjusting the Quantize timing. Depending upon what CDJ model you're using, you should be able to adjust the Quantize timing. For example, if it's set at 1/8 try switching to 1/4. If it's a 1/4, try a 1/2, etc. It's quite possible the timing is set too fast, making it difficult for the timing to "snap" where you want it.

Makes sense, thanks. Was using CDJ 2000 NXS. How do i adjust that quantize setting?

It should be an option in the Utility/Menu of the CDJ unit.
