STILL video issues - joke - engineeers are a joke.

So I thought I'd pop back from Virtual DJ land to try out Rekordbox 5.2.0 to see if it is an better - I should have known really.  It's not.

The issue that I reported in October is still not fixed - you can't have the software in full screen if you are outputting to an external screen or projector.  It was fixed for ONE beta so it can be done, yet the engineers still can't be bothered to fix it again.

Video Playback - awful.  I have a decent MacBook pro with Retina (16GB memory) but the video engine for Rekordbox video is absolute crap.  Videos are not smooth - I don't mean the jerk around, it's as if the framerate is not right and it has to compensate.  Videos on the 'high' setting still tend to stop.  Does rekordbox actually reprocess and transcode the videos on the fly or something?  Because this is not how the videos look in normal playback.  I play a 1080p video in Virtual DJ and it is smooth as butter.

And still no mixed video/audio playlists despite loads of people asking for it.  Give some credit to the people who export to a USB - I'm sure they could work out if they had video in the playlist which seems to be the excuse not to implement it.

Hardware wise Pioneer are still doing well.  Performance mode of Rekordbox video is still as bad as it was in October when I first tried it and I'm sick of reporting the problems.  Other software companies get their issues fixed straight away which is why I've just given my hard earned cash to Virtual DJ who manage to get their software right.
