Hi,
Can you post here your notebook configuration?
A`m also experiencing this problem and trying to figure out the cause.
I keep getting glitches on my RX2 which I feel I shouldn’t be getting after the price I paid. Intermittently, when in performance/midi mode I will get a high pitch beep then music cuts out and unit freezes completely , whilst rekordbox still runs. I have to reboot unit to get to start again. There is no set time it does this, it does it randomly be it after 5 or 50 minutes.
What I have noticed tho is it seems to happen when I go to touch/use some of the units features i.e effects or tapping the jogwheel or loop etc
I have updated the firmware and software yet it still happens. This is getting very frustrating now as I’m scared to gig using this equipment or it’s stopping me from recording anything as I thing it will cut out.
Have you found a fix for this bug yet?

Yep, likely the computer. Post up your specs please.
Hi Pulse,
I have a case opened from December.
I own HP laptop with i7 Last Generation (8) CPU, 16 GB RAM and NVMe SSD drive. And I’m having exact the same problem.
Last 2 weeks I try to find a solution. I’ve changed M.2 NVMe to M.2 SATA, changed RAM, Reinstalled OS almost 20 times. I took HP Zbook 15 G3 Mobile workstation for Tests (i7 6-th generation HQ CPU, 16 RAM, NVMe m.2 SSD). Situation the same, it hangs.
This problem is impacting on my work, as I had freezes on events. Because of this I’ve lost some scheduled events and now trying to figure out where is a problem.
If after turning device and playing some track you will hear some sound brakes (glitches) there is 100% possibility that freeze will occur soon.
Right now I’m performing some test and will update the case.
Hi Pulse
I am currently using a Samsung with Windows 7, i7 3rd generation cpu, 8gb ram 64bit
Could this be an issue with the USB cable? Someone I know has another pioneer controller that kept crashing and he bought a more expensive new cable which fixed this as it shielded the unit from electrical strikes?
You can try. I also changed cable to DJ Chroma and Elektron, but it didn’t resolve my problem.
I also had this problem with my macbook pro 2011. I have bought a new laptop and now everything is okay.
i was able to reduce the possibility of the freeze happenning by changing fior a better quality usb cable. it do seems like its a usb module problem in the laptop. Like the RX2 doesnt "like" certains usb module on some laptop. Thats my guess.
@FSC_DS > I see your ticket and will ask that you continue to communicate with our support team there; please do not post here to cloud another user's post.
@pnut > Your i7 meets the minimum specifications, but that doesn't mean it's going to run smoothly as there are other possible components that can cause issues, never mind the fact you're on Windows 7 - a 9-year-old operating system whose mainstream support ended 3 years ago, so theoretically that computer could be between 4-9 years old (Windows 8 was released in October 2012). But enough about operating systems... my suggestion would be for you to go through that computer and disable / remove any unnecessary software, background applications / services with extreme prejudice. Squeeze as much out of the hardware as you can by stripping back the fat. Perform every update you can get your hands on, going beyond the Microsoft and Samsung updates and finding the USB chipset manufacturer and installing drivers from their website.
Ok I will try that. I’m not very computer savvy so where would I find the usb chipset manufacturer? Also do you not think that trying a more protective usb cable could sort this?
Start with the Windows updates, then try and find anything from the Samsung website specific to your computer. You can find details on the USB chipset by going to the device manager and opening the properties. You'll then have to dig around and find the manufacturer and specific model number, then correlate that on that manufacturer's site to see if they have drivers available.
You can always try a different USB cable, no harm in trying the simple things! ;)
