I have already installed the latest Rekordbox as trial and intend to bring my laptop to the shop so i can test it fully. Should i expect that when the effects routed to the master, it will have audio cuts or glitchy audio as i have read from other topics here? Is that normal or will that be fixed thru future firmware updates?
I will be purchasing from Japan, will i get support from Pioneer Philippines both for warranty and hardware supoort?
What else should i look out for? I have been a traktor user for several years now using the S4MKII and traktor scratch pro. I intend to purchase the DVS part of rekordbox for use with 2 turntables also. This will be my first pioneer product as i've seen a lot of good demos on youtube.

It's a 6yo computer meeting the required specs, so yes it will run, but I won't say it will be "without problems" as background applications or other processes can take away from available resources and reduce the performance of rekordbox.

btw i just recorded a mix using rekordbox, mapped the functions to my keyboard and mouse, i was very impressed by the responsiveness of the software!
Thanks for the official comment. Still wondering about after sales support, is it worldwide or if something goes wrong with an item purchased from japan, will Pioneer Philippines honor the warranty?
@johnny > Sorry, for most countries, units purchased from another country are not covered by warranty -- there's a very complex reason behind it due to the relationship with our support provider.
thank you for the reply @pioneer DJ. i bought one anyway. had to test everything before leaving the store and will do more tests before leaving tokyo, as the store said warranty will only be here in japan.
build quality is very good, crossfader feels very smooth!
at first the hardware effects would not work at firmare 1.01 (i think, factory default). after the update it did work but there was glitchy sound, i suggested a restart (as i've read some replies here at the forum) and then the glitch disappeared. the people at powerdjs shibuya were very helpful :)

Yes, updating the firmware is recommended, and if there's still lag in the FX, lowering the audio buffer size can help.
