Fixture profiles.

Is it or will it be possible for the end user to create their own fixture profiles to add to their own library within RB-DMX lighting?

If it were possible then we could, at least, utilise fixtures to a limited degree whilst waiting for forthcoming Lighting updates/improvements.....??

All previous Lighting applications i have used provide this as standard.

No, but you simply ask for them to be added, and the AltaBase team adds it to their database. We update our database weekly, and then you can find it. We are currently limited to several profile types: movers, pars, bars, strobes, pinspots. More will be included later.

Looking forward for the Pioneer answer on this question :), this was one of the reasons I decided to not buy RB-DMX1 ...With DMXIS I can do it when I have new fixtures as Andy Beech just commented .

So another BIG negative for RB-DMX........

How about you make lines available in RB Lighting for the user to assign as he wishes. These lines could be pre-assigned to a range of dmx channels. The user would then just assign the relative start address to their fixtures. This would enable the user to utilise fixtures which RB Lighting is unable to support?

AltaBase is pretty rubbish and RB Lighting mode is far too limited in its current build.

The following paragraph is taken from this page:- https://www.pioneerdj.com/en-gb/news/2018/new-lighting-mode-coming-to-rekordbox/

"The AtlaBase fixture library comprises more than 13,000 unique fixtures. In the unlikely event that you can’t find your fixture, simply post a request in the Pioneer DJ forum and the fixture will be added within a few working days"

13,000...... !!!!!!!!

The fixture library as of today (26th march 2018) contains just 651 profiles!!!!

I think the wording needs changing to 651 and it should say "likely" rather than "unlikely"......

I beg to differ -- the same database you have loaded (v.1004) has exactly 13,181 fixture profiles:

That number certainly is smaller than the last time I saw it -- maybe it's only reading certain fixtures. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But I do know the database contains the 13,181 profiles.

Where is the fixtures database file located on Mac OS? I Need to change a wrongly mapped color on my moving heads.

@Bobo > If you post the issue in our lighting fixture request forum, our database team can verify the DMX listings of your fixture vs. the database listings. Please provide the brand & model name, as well as a copy of the DMX table.
