Rekordbox still SLOOOOOOOOW to export...but....

...but maybe i pass an idea to your engineers.

Rekordbox (my collection is about 5200 tracks) every small change on library, at EVERY EXPORT it takes a lot of minutes to upgrade the 128 gb USB3 Kingston HyperX...but if you take a look to the monitor resources of windows 10, you can easily see that the time is not for export "files" but only for read and write the "export.pdb" database...Mr. Pioneer, i am a IT programmer, i can't trust that to update a 4MB of a simple database access-like you have to spend hours and hours 0% 1% 2 % 3%....and so on until 100%! For the purpose of increase speed i had buy the best USB3.0 drive on the market...still slow. It is not the hardware slow, slow is the method for reading and writing database.

I can understand the "first" export...about 60gb of data...but not all the times i have to spend hours and hours to wait to export finish.

I am pretty sure that ALL DJ'S in the world will be happy, if you increase ...but "INCREASE REALLY" the speed of usb export when updating our dongle. Thanks!

@Jacox > Sorry if you weren't already aware, but the Kingston Hyper X is a fantastic drive for writing large files, but is absolutely horrendous at writing numerous small files.

As noted here (just one of many test sites), the small (4k) write speeds drop to ~2.5MB/s, even if the large files write an average of over 100MB/s.

This isn't an issue with rekordbox, it's entirely to do with the USB drive, as I demonstrated in this video.

The fact is that the drive is used NOT for export small files... "Small files" you are talking are exported only for the first export. As described.

This long time, is for reading/writing (maybe querying) the export.pdb database. No time waste to export, but only read/write on db. This, for an IT technician like me is very frustrating. I can't search on all market in Worldwide and apend a lot of money to buy certain usb flash drive...please pass this to your engineers...thanks.

I assure you, the issue is that your USB drive has horrible small file transfer speeds, regardless of the amount of money you spent on it.

Maybe you don't read carefully.

OK this for the 1°st export. I understand that Rekordbox write thousand of files into key. (1°st time only)

But when small modifications are made to library, the export is still slow. I don't understand why if i change BEATGRID of 1 song, the amount of time to upgrade dongle is really frustrating. i don't think rekordbox has to write thousands small files ALL THE TIME...

I'll write this for you to read once more: the export is slow because of your USB drive's inability to write small files in a speedy fashion.
