File tags missing for some mp3 files

Some of the mp3 files in my collection have no tags but the tags are visible in other players like Windows Media, Media Monkey and other major players. Even if I retag from other players, Rekordbox won't pick the tags for those tracks. They analyze and play without a problem though.

How are they encoded? What's the ID3 version? Which tags are missing?

I tag the files using MediaMonkey and it updates both IDV1 and IDV2 tags. All other players I have can see the tags except Rekordbox. Even if I try tagging the files using Windows explorer properties tab, the tags are still not visible to Rekordbox. Surprising factor is that the other tracks that I also tag using MediaMonkey are fine with Rekordbox.
