If CH1 is playing to the master and you have CH1 CUE selected, you'd still hear it in the headphones. Ensure only CH2 CUE is illuminated:

DDJ-1000 Cue/Master Problems
Hey mates, i've got a little problem.
I can't disable the sound from the cue sound.
I've i play a track on CH 1 and want to check the sond on CH 2, i turn the cue/master control to the left. So i can hear the cue.
But i hear the master sound as well ^^
I dont' really understand why. And for a mix session its a big problem.

Ich kann den sound nicht komplett killen im Cue. Warum weiß ich nicht. Ich höre immer den Master auf voller Lautstärke, egal wo ich den Regler stehen habe. Zwar höre ich den cue Sound wenn der Regler mittig steht, aber halt auch sehr leise...

Pioneer, help! I have the exact same problem and your above post was of no help, I'm sorry to say.
Channel 1 is playing (master)
When he headphone mixing dial is to the far left (cue) and all cue's on the mixer not selected - I hear the master. Then (dial still all the way to the cue side) I select cue 2 that I would like to hear by itself, the master still plays in conjunction with the cue2.
Channel 1 still up, playing as master, dial all the way to the right (master) with no cues selected, I hear silence.Select cue2 now, and I hear silence still.
I cannot hear any cue by itself without the master playing in the background.
Hope I have explained this right!
I've tried every which combination of things, read every post, and tried every troubleshoot I can find on the internet, but no solution.
Not sure if its a software or a hardware issue - I've updated both my computer and Rekordbox to the latest versions.
Please let me know where to go from here!

Hi There,
i am using ddj 1000 and i am having the same problem. I prelisten to one chanel and the master is also on cue. you cant switch the master cue off. I unplug then the ddj from usb wait 5 seconds and reconect. then the problem is gone for some time. this helps in the studio but not in the club. pioneer pls fix this.

I am facing the exact same issue, when turning the mixing knob to the left and master cue off + channel cue on - I still hear the master!
Rekordbox 5.4.1. MAcOS 10.14.1 fw1.05 on DDJ-1000.

Do you possibly also have BOOTH OUT set to PHONES in the preferences? It should be the blank " - " for normal use.
