Vinyl Mode bug DDJ 1000

Hello,

As written in the manual, if I push shift I can see by looking at the SLIP/VINYL button if Vinyl mode status.

I'm able to enable or disable it on all decks with those buttons, however, when it's engaged and I push play stop I have the vinyl stop function only working for decks 2 and 4 and not for decks 1/3...

Any ideas?

thanks

Hi,

To be more specific, this issue started on Sierra and rekordbox 5.3, and it still here under high sierra and rekordbox 5.3 or 5.4 !

Does anybody @ pioneer can provide me with a solution or at least answer?

thanks

Sorry, no answer as I haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

I'm having a similar problem.  However, it's not working at all for decks 2,4.  Shift + Vinyl seems to have no effect on these decks. I've updated my firmware to 1.07, but still no luck.

System
DDJ-1000, rekordbox 5.8.5
Firmware 1.07
Mac Pro: Mojave 10.14.4

Other issues I'm having:  Play/pause not functioning for deck 2 only.

Do you see the blue ring toggling on/off within rekrodbox?

Or is it just that the vinyl function isn't working or is it the vinyl brake start/stop action?

Thx for your quick reply

Here's what I have setup for Vinyl speed adjust.  The blue screen does toggle on and off.  But when it's toggled on, scratching effect doesn't work. What will happen instead is a slight slow down to speed up of tempo depending on the direction I turn the platter.

Having exactly the same problem and having seen a few posts on this subject without a satisfactory answer, I’d suggest that something mechanical (and related to the Vinyl Mode function) has broken inside the DDJ.
Not sure if it’s an easy fix or will require a new DDJ. Let me know if you find out!

I worked with their tech support.  They've concluded that I send in the unit to have it repaired.

Thanks for your patience while our engineers investigated -- they have concluded that there seems to be an issue with the jog wheel hardware and would recommend that if you are within the return period of your retailer, that you contact them for an exchange. If you are outside that period, we will direct you to have the unit repaired at one of our authorized service centres. Please contact them to arrange servicing, as many are currently closed or on reduced workload due to COVID closures. They can also provide you with instructions on shipping or delivering your DDJ. Be sure to include a copy of your receipt in the box for warranty validation.
