Hi Pioneer,
I'd really appreciate if you were able to answer my question before closing the thread.
I need to know how to map the CDJs' >> and << buttons to the "8 Beat Jump" function in Rekordbox.
In the previous reply (pasted below), it was explained why the changes were made, but it wasn't explained how to map the buttons via MIDI, and then the thread was closed.
As I've said before, I've gone through the manual twice but still can't find where it explains how to remap them.
In posts made previously by other customers about the matter, it was stated that it can be done, but there was no explanation about how to do it. When the customers asked "how to do it", posters were instead met with questions about their motives ie "yes you can, but why?"
I hope I have thoroughly explained in my previous post why I would like to do it, and I would hope that the manufacturer would be able to assist a long-time customer with this basic level of support without further difficulty.
If you'd like to attach some screen shots in your reply it may also help to make responses a lot quicker.
I trust that you, the manufacturers and experts would certainly know how to do it, and are able to please explain how to do it.
I would appreciate your assistance without further difficulty.

Mapping Pioneer CDJs with Rekordbox
Hi team,
A change was made to Rekordbox DJ (CDJ/Aggregator USB connection) roughly the last 12 months, where the fast forward►►/fast backward◄◄ buttons do not jump forward/backwards by 8 beats when pressed. They instead jump forwards and backwards to some arbitrary/imprecise part of the track, which therefore ruins any beat matching (which effectively, is the most basic function of your software, and which has allowed new DJs to progress to live gigs in a very short amount of time).
It was incredibly convenient being able to jump forward or backwards 8 beats. For example, if I missed a cue, I could simply count to the next 8th beat and press Play and then the ►► button.
I was told that this can be done in MIDI mode, and to check the manual, however after scouring the manual (twice now) I can't find where.
After connecting via the Aggregator (also a type of MIDI mode), I'm met with blank sections in rekordbox. Clicking "MIDI" on the top right in rekordbox brings a window with no "connected device" - even if the CDJs are playing via Rekordbox DJ at that time. This also happens if the CDJs are simply being used as MIDI devices, using the DJM-900 as the audio output(s).
The responses from your team via the site's "similar posts" suggestions seem very off-topic (if at all).

Can you please shed some light on the matter? Perhaps some screen shots would save a little time.

This change was made to standardize the operation of the << and >> buttons as seek controls. We have passed along the request for them to function as beat-jump, but I don't know if there are plans to revert to that function as there is a beat-jump functionality within the pad controls. (Yes, I know there's no pads on the CDJs.)
