Have you checked the fader assignment? Open the mixer panel:

DDJ RX - crossfader problem
Hello.
On my DDJ-RX the crossfader stopped working correctly and I`m looking for ideas on what might be the problem.
The situation:
As soon as I move the crossfader from center position to the left the left deck(s) play at full blast, right side is off. If i move the fader right from center position it`s the other way. First idea was of course a broken fader so I bought a replacement but after switching faders I still have the same problem so the problem must be somewhere else. My next guess would be that the crossfader curve dial somehow broke (turning the dial does nothing) , but I`d like to know if someone else had this problem and maybe has a different idea on where the problem might be. Hello.
I assign chanels to the crossfader by switches directly on the DDJ, I don`t use a "mixer panel". Are you saying that there are possibly conflicting software settings to the hardware switches?

I mean you should open the software panel to see if the assignments within the software match. The hardware acts as an override, but if you have not toggled the position of those switches, the software may be in the OTHER "position" and thus the hardware would need to "pick up" the setting in order for it to function properly.

Yes, the assignments do match and update fine in recordbox when I change them on the controller.

So after you've toggled them back/forth, is the crossfader working as expected?

No, it isn`t working as expected, I still have the same problem. Crossfader slightly on the Right side: only "Right channels" playing. Crossfader slightly on the left: only "Left channels" playing. Turning the crossfader curve dial (which as I said I currently suspect to be the problem) does nothing. Putting channels on "Thru" and mixing only with line faders works fine. There`s also no difference between playing through recordbox or my trusty old Technics which i hooked up to the DDJ.
