Hi all. I've been using the DJM Rec lately (what an awesome app that makes my life so much easier).
I'm wondering what the correct settings are for a clean recording of a mix are.
When I play at 0 on the DJM750, it records around -4/-5 on the DJM Rec and the recording seems to be very low.
If I play around +6 on the 750 then it gets right below 0 on the REC, which then sounds nice on other sound systems.
I know there's audacity and ableton to correct files but I'm wondering where is it best to start.
Obviously I'm using the digital recording via lightning cable.

You want it around the -6dB mark in the app to avoid possible clipping when recording. Digital clipping = the worst. If, later, you want to boost it, do so in an audio editor, making sure the upper-most peak of your recording doesn't go above the 0dB mark.
