Do a bit of searching. A few of us have picked up on how bad the analogue phono stages are. It’s hardware alright. The response? “Well, it’s really only meant to be used for a control track vinyl where the quality doesn’t need to be great” ... understandable, if disappointing. Analogue vinyl replay is unusable in my opinion.

SeguirEQ on the DDJ-1000
Hello,
I bought the DDJ-1000 a week ago and when starting trying it out this weekend, I noticed that the EQ does not work properly:
- turning the high to maximum makes almost no difference at all;
- the mid's on the contrary have to be put at 9o'clock to reach a pleasent sound
moreover the sound is far from great and misses punch and definition, and when mixing two tracks, it becomes one big mess... The same happens when connecting 2 technics sl1200's.
Could this be a hardware problem?

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, the same occurs when playing digital. Turning the eq high to full doesnt give anything noticeable. Everything is in the mid's which are painfully hard. I can't imagine this would be acceptable to anyone...
@Thomas > The EQs should certainly work from a USB source. Are you using rekordbox?
Hello, of course I am using Recordbox. And the EQ's "work" but not well. As indicated the high's rarely make any difference in sound when turning the knobs. The mid's are overly expressed. In result, it doesn't sound good and it sounds even (far) worse when djing with analogue vinyl.
