Can't install rekordbox

I'm trying to install Rekordbox on a mac but I keep getting error messages.

This is from the official file that I downloaded from the rekordbox website.

'“Install_rekordbox_5_4_2.pkg” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.'

So I changed my security settings that I can open files that are not from the app store or identified developers and then I get a new error message:

The operation couldn’t be completed. (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error -1.)

How can I solve this problem?

If you're using Safari, try using a different browser. I've had many a download corrupted by Safari's automatic un-zipping.

I originally used firefox for it, now I tried google chrome and safari as wel but it makes no difference I still get the same error.

Are you downloading it directly from the rekordbox.com website?

Which OS are you trying to install to?

Downloaded directly from rekordbox.com, I have OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

You're within the supported OS's, so it could be an issue with the hardware you're running it on or something else in the system. I'll ask you to please file an inquiry ticket here and our rekordbox support team will be able to gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
