DDJ 400 issue with receiver

I'm trying to play music through my Denon S900 receiver.  I've tried RCA cables through the DVD setting on my receiver (and other settings) as well as using an RCA -> HDMI converter into the HDMI port for the DVD setting and no sound comes out.  I can get sound in my headphones but after messing with sound settings for hours I've come up empty handed.

Is there anything special about connecting to a living room receiver I'm unaware of?

The DDJ-400's outputs connected to the DVD input on the receiver is the best bet, as that RCA to HDMI converter may not function as expected.

What do you have set for the audio settings in the rekordbox preferences?

I can hear sound through my headphones as well as through my laptop speakers.  But nothing comes out when I connect to my receiver.

The problem is you have the wrong driver selected; please choose the DDJ-400 ASIO driver instead.

From the audio setting, there is no DDJ-400 ASIO Driver to choose from.  When I tried googling "download the DDJ-400 ASIO driver" it said that the DDJ-400 will use windows drivers. When I click on the driver button to load DDJ-400 ASIO drivers there isn't an for "DDJ-400 ASIO".

I found another help manual on this and it said trying DDJ-400 RB drivers.  So I tried doing that and got an error.  Then I tried uninstalling the DDJ-400- RB drivers and reinstalling them from the administrator settings, and I keep getting the same error message.

Shoot, sorry - you're right, the DDJ-400 doesn't use ASIO drivers! It installs the WASAPI drivers by default for "plug-n-play" compatibility.

Are you seeing signal in the DDJ-400's meters? Do you have the master volume knob turned up?

You shouldn't be hearing any output from the computer's speakers if you don't have the PC MASTER OUT enabled...

Yes, I get signals on the meters and the master knob is turned up. I can hear sound through the headphones, but nothing from my receivers.  I don't believe it's an issue with my Denon receiver, I even took the 400 to my buddy's place and hooked it up to his system (he has a professional level system with cdj 2000s, etc.) and no sound would come out of his speakers either.  We have turned off the PC master out as well.

Any ideas would be welcome.

If you have another computer you could test it with, that would help determine whether it's a hardware issue or a configuration issue.

I have pretty much the same issue. My DDJ=400 works fine when connected to my laptop and powered speakers connected directly to the controller. But when I connect the controller to my amp to send sound to my passive speakers which are connected to the amp as well, I get nothing. In fact the amps indicators don't show a signal coming from the controller even though the controller lights are indicating music playing and I can hear music in the headphones. I've tried using RCA cable connection from controller to amp, and RCA/XLR cables from controller to amp and still nothing. Im really stumped...

@MVP > If the unit works with speakers connected directly to the controller, there would be no deficiency in the output when used with any other speakers or amplifier. Please check those output devices.
