The SX is forward-compatible... heck, even the original DDJ-S1 is still compatible with the latest OS's and Serato DJ Pro! :)
Hello All. I have the DDJSX and it’s been running on my windows 7 laptop since it was released with no issues. Last Saturday my laptop started freezing and I I’m bout ready to get a new laptop. My question is since the DDJSX was setup for windows 7 and if I get a new computer that’s windows 10 or a Mac that’s OS X or something will my DDJSX still work? Or do I need to get a new controller too? I asked pioneer already but I gotta wait 24-48hrs for a call back. Thanks in advance

I've been having a similar issue but with a MacBook Pro. I've contacted both Apple and Pioneer support but issue has not been resolved. When I first purchased the DDJ-SX, everything was perfect and never had issues. But for over a year now, I cannot go for more than one hour before software freezes followed by the hardware. Really frustrating that I cannot commit to any gigs because of this.
Imagine this, I give Pioneer my money in exchange for a DDJ-SX. Then after a year, the funds they've collected were no longer available. Yeah, I bet they'd find a way to solve that problem. But yet here I am, writing and hoping someone at Pioneer would read this. Maybe they would actually help me understand why they've taken my money and in exchange sell me a device that is unusable? Charles, I hope you have better luck than I do but I would strongly urge you to think twice about buying another controller. Thank you.
@Raz > Please don't piggy-back on another topic and say you're having a similar issue -- his was with a Windows 7 machine, yours is a MacBook Pro; completely different.
I'll suggest you please file an inquiry ticket here and our support team will be able to gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
