That's because the mapping of the buttons is different in stand-alone mode than it is in controller-mode. Please see the hardware diagram here for a full overview.

XDJ-RX2 Midi Mode Bug - Slip Loop becomes Beat Jump
When I am using my XDJ-RX2 in stand-alone mode with USBs all the Pad Mode buttons such as Hot Cue, Beat Loop, Slip Loop and Beat Jump work appropriately.
After I plug in my Mac and select "Midi" and load a track and press Slip Loop, all the buttons act as "Beat Jump" buttons. When I press "Beat Jump" the buttons do not light up or do anything.
When I go back to USB mode, then the Slip Loop and BeatJump return to normal. What could be causing this?
