Have you tried adjusting the buffer size?

Also low cpu usage when this occurs
I’ve adjusted the latency to 2.9ms and makes it better but still pops, and if I go higher it gets worse. I’ve been running 1.5ms on my ddj rz with no issues at all. I scratch and running at 2.9 just isn’t tight enough. I don’t understand how this is happening on 2 separate operating systems.
i have the same problem, just bought the ddj-1000 coming from a ddj-400, which never crackled a single time. but the 1000 constantly. MBP mid 2012 Mojave 16gb ram and ssd, Nice toy to play around with, but useless to be used in the wild atm. there are many reports all around the internet reporting crackling problems, not a single thread ever came to a solution. There has to be an engineering or firmware error in the ddj-1000, because everyone who reports those problem doesn't have any with other pioneer hardware, like me or Djazyp. thinking about returning it if there will be no solution in the near future...
I can make a video of this, but I doubt that this will be of any use for troubleshooting. the crackling is totally random, I have found no way to provoke it. it's not connected to any functions like effects or such, you just let the track play, do nothing, and sometimes it crackles and pops.
tried it with the ddj-400, internal sound card, audio interface of my a&h zedi-8 and a novation audio hub 4x4, not a single pop or crackle with these running rekordbox. so it's entirely ddj-1000 related. and oh, both the interfaces in the rather cheap mixer and the novation audio hub sound better than the DAC in the ddj-1000, which is just sad tbh...
Definitely an issue with the ddj-1000 I’ve tried it on 4 different MacBook Pro’s with various different operating systems from Sierra to Mojave and it does the same on all of them. If I switch to the internal soundcard and just use as a midi controller no crackles as soon as I switch back it’s popping and cracking with bad sound distortion. I’ve had no issues with various other pioneer products. This has got to be the worst sounding controller I have come across which is a shame as it has some good features. Until an update or fix is available I definitely won’t be playing this out and will seriously consider getting rid of it. £1200 for a controller that can’t be used on a high spec MacBook explain that. ???
Sorry to hear that, please file an inquiry ticket here and our rekordbox support team will be able to gather some additional information to assist you in resolving this issue.
