Pioneer DDJ 400 not getting power on iPad using Djay

Hi, I recently got a Pioneer DDJ 400 and have been using it with Rekordbox in the last few weeks. I also wanted to try using it with Algoriddim's Djay App on iOS, so I bought a USB 3 to camera lightning adapter. So I connected the Adapter with my iPad and plugged my DDJ 400 and the power cable into the adapter. The DDJ 400 turned on but immediately turned off again. On my iPad I got the message that the accessory was using too much power even though the iPad was being charged. Does anyone know a solution for this? Thanks in advance.
