RX2 Beatgrids Problem

Hi guys,

While using my RX2 as a MIDI controller, connected to RecordBox on my Mac, I am having a beatgrid issue. What happens is, if two tracks have different BPMs and I set them to the same BPM, the grids on the RX2 screen seem to be "playing catch up".

As it can be seen below, while some of them are aligned some are not. Beats match by ear, and also visually on recordbox. But not on RX2 screen.

Full video of the issue:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqoDJKsZ8Nw

Tracks are analyzed normal (not dynamic), quantize on.

Please help me understand this issue and whether there is a problem with my settings.

Thanks,

This is normal, and rekordbox would do the same thing if you disabled this setting in the DVS menu:

The pitched waveform is not being stretched - it's just running slower so that it maintains a beat-match at the playhead position.

"..rekordbox would do the same thing if you disabled this setting in the DVS" - Just like this setting, is there a way to enable it on the XDJ to make it work this way? Because most of the time, you would need to change the pitch and this way of display is not helpful for double checking the beatmatching..

But if I use synch, beats and grids are perfectly alligned the whole time! Why so?  I feel like this should be the default behaviour for all devices all the time. Does it work this way in Nexus series as well? Could you tell me if other popular modals behave this way also?

Thanks,
