Sorry, not possible - the DDJ-1000SRT is not intended for use with software other than Serato DJ.
Hi,
I have an audio issue with my DDJ-1000 SRT.
Since DDJ appears in Ableton Live as an 10 input and 10 output audio device I'd like to use the unit mixer as sound card for audio production and creative purposes in my mixes. I can choose the DDJ as my audio input and output in DAW but no matter what the audio input is used (USB A Serato decks 1-4, USB B Serato decks 1-4 or LINE/PHONO inputs 1-4, MIC, etc.) audio signal appears in software only on input channels 9-10. Any audio source is mixed on those two channels (!)
Already checked the possible configurations. Have installed latest firmware, audio driver and Serato DJ. Any other audio interface works fine. I can't do any audio routing at all with the DDJ which seems odd seeing that the DDJ is powerful DJ unit and at the same time it is available as audio input/output :(
Functions below are unavailable:
- can't record Serato decks on separate audio channels in DAW for further editing;
- can't record other line audio gear (drum machines / synths) on separate tracks through the DDJ mixer;
- can't send any audio signal (for example Ableton tracks) through the DDJ audio mixer for further creative use.
This kind of stuff is doable with other Pioneer devices:

Please help me is it the config issue, unit issue or the DDJ just isn't able to handle those type of audio routings?
Thanks for Your help.
Chris
