Recently got both Pioneer DDJ-RB controller and Pioneer PLX-500 vinyl turntable for a really good price and I want to connect both of them and use Rekordbox.
So as I read on Pioneer forum:
"DDJ-RB itself is not capable of accepting any input signal from any device, so you would indeed have to use an external mixer. Virtually any mixer with a phono pre-amp would work, it doesn't have to be DJ-specific, but those typically are more likely to have the phono connections."
as I understand I need an external mixer with phono pre-amp to connect speakers, DDJ-RB and PLX-500? Is there anything else I need to take care of? Any examples of such a mixers? I would like to add second vinyl turntable to the set later so maybe it's better to just switch to more comprehensive controller with bult in mixer? Thanks for any tips.
You will need a mixer that you can plug the DDJ-RB master output into a channel input and then plug the PLX-500 into a channel as well. Any Pioneer DJ mixer that has adjustable channels (Line/Phono) would work. You will then mix the RB and PLX with the channels on the mixer.
