DDJ-T1 Will Light Up but Not Connecting To Computer - What Part is Needed?

Hey all,

I have an old Pioneer DDJ-T1 that was working great, making jams and then it suddenly stops working as a controller and just defaults to the Deck buttons lighting up but the computer will not see it as connected. It clearly gets trickle power but actual USB passthrough does not work.

At this point I have determined after troubleshooting the issue, it is related to actual processing chip and new hardware is required. Going to the Pioneer site http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=DDJ-T1 there are parts available and I am trying to figure out what part I need to replace.

Any help, lemme know.

Also cause I know you will all ask, I have definitely determined it is hardware as it will no longer be seen by macOS on two MacBook Pros and on Windows it states this USB device is malfunctioning and cannot be used by Windows. I've done all the troubleshooting steps and wouldn't make a hardware conclusion until after all that was done. Don't need to repeat it all here cause there are a dozen forum posts on steps to try.

Hey Andy,

I understand you're interested in fixing your DDJ yourself, but unfortunately nobody here is authorized to provide you with information to disassemble, modify, or repair your DDJ. I'll direct you to please contact a Pioneer DJ authorized service centre in your region to have your hardware inspected and/or repaired, they could also provide you with detailed information on the necessary parts.

Thank you.
