XDJ RR Can't cue back to start of track when loading from export link mode

Hey there

I just bought a new XDJ RR and i'm a total novice to DJ'ing.

When I connect to rekorbox via the 'export link' function, tracks i load onto the deck immediately commence and I can't use the cue button to go back to the cue point at start of the track that i've set on rekorbox. The 'play/pause' button works but not the cue button.

Am i doing something wrong? is it maybe not recognising the cue set hence why the cue button doesn't appear to be working?

On another note, can you only search via 'artist', 'track', 'year' etc etc when in export mode and not when in performance mode? i'm finding when in performance mode i can only scroll through the list of tracks but they're not categorised.

Hey Tomi,

Enable the AUTO CUE by pressing and holding that button (you'll see AUTO CUE illuminate in the display), that will force the track to create a cue point and stop at the start of the track.

As for the searching, that's not a function of the RR when in performance mode as the idea is you have access to your keyboard and mouse to do that and more within the software, whereas in stand-alone mode (or linked to export mode), you're relying on the RR itself to perform those funcitons.

I haven't used a USB yet but i'm assuming if i do, it will function the same as in export mode?

Tomi,

Correct - think of export mode as being a "smart hard drive with screen and keyboard."
