On my RZ if master cue is off and headphone dial is all the way to cue and the ONLY cue button lit is the new track... that is all I hear.
You don't have the 2nd channel cue button lit too do you?
When song 1 is playing through master.
I am trying to cue up song 2.
I pressed down cue button on chamber 2
headphone mixing knob is turned all the way to the left (cue)
I think I am only supposed to hear the song I am cuing up in the headphone.
but master is still playing through the headphone.(the cue button under master level knob is off)
basically I am asking
is it normal to always hear the master through headphone, even when the headphone mixing knob is turned off the way to the left (cue), with the cue button under master level turned off.

I'm having a similar issue. The master audio (deck 2) is still coming through the headphones, even when the headphone mixing dial is all the way to the left (pointed at "CUE") with the cue button pressed on Deck 1.
@Brandon > Have you checked the configuration within rekordbox?
Yes, but perhaps you can provide some guidance as to what the configuration should look like to hear only cued audio when the dial is on "cue" and only master audio when the headphone dial is on "master?"
To hear only the cued audio, you press either CH1 or CH2 CUE buttons with the knob anywhere but all the way to the right.
To hear only the master audio, press the MASTER CUE button with the knob anywhere but all the way left.
Personally, I leave the mix knob around the 12 o'clock position and toggle the mix on and off using the cue buttons.
Ok I've tried pretty much every combo of master cue on/off and CH1 CH2 on/off and no matter what, the master audio (deck 2) always comes through the headphones. When CH1 is on with know all the way to the left (cue), I can hear the cued song through the left headphone but I can still hear the master audio in both. Are there any other settings that may need to be changed?
it's in preference. under audio. in output channels.
try different settings there. that's how I fixed mine. I don't have it with me right now so I can't tell you the exact setting. but just mess around with those different options under output channels. you'll be good! :)
