External SSD

Hi,

I want to move my database onto a new external SSD for use between my windows desktop and my mac laptop, I wish to keep the existing directories for my music files though just on the external SSD. 

I've spend multiple hours trying to work out how to do this and I'm afraid I know the answer but hopefully someone has a solution for me!

When I tried to moe database onto external SSD with my music on, it would say it needed 125GB+ free space to complete the move of the database...
so some weird fuckery was going on, even though I has like 100gb+ free on my external it kept saying there wasnt enough space to move database, so i moved it to an empty 60gb ssd inside the machine, no problem what so ever, so i tried with external ssd again, nope not enough room according to RB, so i deleted the music of the external SSD and it is now moving the database onto it.
 
When its done I shall move music back onto and point the database to look for the music there.
 
WHAT IS THIS SHIT REKORDBOX SORT YOUR PROGRAM OUT!
