DDJ-1000 channel cue dropout problem

I have had my DDJ-1000 for about 4-5 months and am having the occasional issue where I'll be mixing away, go to select cue on the next channel and when listening to the song the sound out the headphones will start playing the Master channel cue (even if not selected) or the cued channel will become extremely quiet in the headphones. To be able to here the cued track, ill have to turn up the headphones volume above 3/4 way.

Sometimes the software Rekordbox will freeze for about 5 seconds then will unfreeze then the cued channel at the time will drop out and you can very quietly hear the master channel without it being selected on the cue button and the cued channel selected at the time will be extremely quiet. This has happened on occasion and the only fix I have been able to find for it is to reset the entire controller by turning power off then on. If I do this with Rekordbox still playing the track, when it turns on and continues playing the track and you press the cue button, everything goes back to normal.

My headphones work fine and some days I do not get this issue at all. I'm using the HDJ-H5 headphones and have tested them from other audio devices and they work fine.

Is this a connection issue with the software to where the cued track drops out, or is this a hardware problem, to which repair or replacement of the controller will be needed under warranty?

Has anyone else had this issue with any of the controllers?
