DDJ 1000 and DDJ XP2

Does the DDJ XP2 work with the DDJ 1000, in that I could use it to control decks 3 and 4? Do the sync and quantitze functions work as they would normally? I think I made a post a while back asking about the Toraiz sampler, and I was told it wouldn't work like it would using the live link function with CDJs. I'm quite intrigued by the idea of adding an XP2 to my setup, but I don't know how it will work.

Given that you can already control decks 3 and 4 with the DDJ-1000, the XP2 would offer expanded control for that. It doesn't have specific play / cue / etc. controls, but you could certainly map those. The XP2 is very flexible in how it's used with rekordbox, the Pad Editor can really make customizing the controls very easy.

Thanks, that's a great help. I don't tend to use the play or cue button, apart from right at the start of the set. I use loops to mix, and I'm sure the XP2 will offer me extra control over that side of things. Thank you.
