Oh I know, believe me - been a pain in my butt for years! I'm using a hard drive or SD card for something else then can't eject it because rekordbox has it in use!?!
No timeline for inclusion tho, sorry.
Hello,
i'm swapping hard drives quite often a day and each time RB6 is open i'll get these 3 dialogs which i have to click away then — which takes time and blocks my flow.. Is there any way to just tell Rekordbox one time "Ignore this hard drive forever" ?
1)

2)

3) (a bit useless imho, 'cause i pressed before "Do not sync with My Tag")

Hey Pulse,
I see that you're in charge of all answers here, but i often read that you are also annoyed ("pain in the butt") by things that other users complain about — but then, why is it not changed in the program? I mean.. you work for Pioneer...
You could also use a system like Centercode like Ableton does for the beta versions, to let users vote for features that are important to them.
I just started to use Rekordbox a week ago because i want to use more features on the CDJs than i did before... and see so many obvious things that need improvement. And which would be quite easy to fix.
Each HDD has a unique identifier, called UUID. To program a little checkbox to say "ignore this drive forever" would not take more than a day tbh.
It's especially annoying because these windows pop up even when Rekordbox is minimized in the background and this always breaks the workflow.
We pass the feedback and comments from users to the product planning teams, and they take that and weigh it with the urgency for that item (is it a bug or a feature request), the importance of it (is this a show-stopper or just a 'nice to have'), then other factors such as whether or not it can be done, what else it will affect (eg. GUI), and then who could do it and how much it would cost to implement. On top of that, it's not just as simple as "add it in a day" because it's not a small team of 4 people working on the software; anything done in rekordbox, the core of our ecosystem, could potentially affect almost all of our users, so it's important that any changes are considered for the impact to the entire userbase.
Things like this are tricky because they don't want to have some DJ complaining that their drive is not being recognized because they didn't read the pop-ups once and then hid the drive.
And it's a pain in my butt not because you guys are asking for it, rather that I agree, feel your pain, and have asked about it multiple times, but I also understand the complexity of getting a "yes, we can fix that." ;)
Yes sure, i get your point, also about people might forgetting the setting.
Was just hoping for some more refinement of the software...
But good it can get eventually fixed. I just see it as a easy UI for it, something like:

Or if it's really so low on the agenda, maybe just search for a file such as .rekordbox_ignore in the root of a device.... and if it's found, then ignore it.
If people are able to create such a file, they will most probably not the people who complain about "drive not recognized".
