Distributor Issue

Hi there,

 
I am not sure who to contact regarding this however I am having an issue getting service for Pioneer DJ Products in South Africa from you Pioneer Distributor/Agent Tedelex Pro Audio.
 
I was living in the United States for 2 years and I bought my Pioneer Dj gear there, so upon returning to South Africa I have found it an uphill battle to get registered with Telex Pro Audio to get service parts for my gear and to buy more pioneer gear.
 
They have labelled my products as “Grey Products” as I have not purchased it through them and says they do not honour anyone with Pioneer DJ Gear that has not been purchased through them.
 
Please advise on the best course of action as I am a very happy Pioneer DJ customer and I have spent a great deal of money on your FlagShip CDJ series and I intend to buy some more in the very near future.

@Chad > @Jay is correct; your product was purchased in the US, so your warranty is only valid in the US. The reason this is done is to discourage "grey market" products; users shopping for gear in other countries to pay less, avoid taxes / duties / tariffs, etc. You can get repairs done in SA, but unfortunately they will be at-cost.

There can be issues when moving gear from one country to another for warranty because the issuing service is based in the country of purchase.  But getting service in general should not be an issue unless it's warranty.  I would try contacting someone at www.djsounds.com since they are the Pioneer of Europe and deal with other countries outside of the US.  If that doesn't help let us know and I will see about getting a better contact.
