Try a different USB cable and a different USB port on your computer. The SB should light up when plugged into an active USB port.
I recently Purchased a DDJ SB from Guitar Center and as of right now it has not responded or lit up. I can not get it to connect with Serato Lite or with its own drivers. DDJ_Version_Display Utiliy does not recognize it neither does Serato (No Hardware Detected). When I plug it in no lights come on and my computer seems to not recognize it at all. I downloaded the Firmware and Drivers from the Pioneer website. Is it busted? is there a on button? what else can I do to fix this?
Thanks, Jack

Glad to hear it!
I tried the cable change and it didnt work for me. please help!
@Max > You may need to try using the DDJ-SB connected to a powered-USB hub, it's possible the computer isn't providing adequate power over its USB chipset.
I have had my DDJ SB since 2014 with no issues until 2 weeks ago at a gig... I could only get one deck to show up, but I was using a house mixer and the music came out so I wasn't to concerned. However, last gig (at a wedding) it did the same thing (only one deck) - like not connected to the controller. I could not get anything out of it, but since it was a wedding I carry a back up WeGo. I went to plug everything in today to test and troubleshoot to get my SB working again, and now I get nothing (no power, no lights, nothing). So I plugged in by WeGo and it worked great. Please help - is my SB fried? Suggestions? Thanks! DJ Kicks.
