XDJ-R1 Freeze, crash and high pitch horn sound

Well for you it solve the matter.

But how many are working with the R1 connected to same items like you?

Many use the R1 stand alone mode, like me.

I perfom several test without the possibility to reproduce the bug too.

So hardware problem or soft ( firmware) problem good question.

I also noticed that on download pioneer page for " Stand Alone controller " or something like this, only remain XDJ-RX2.

As Pulse said, tk must reproduce the bug to make chance to solve it, ok.

But as the R1 is a old system, so will pioneer will spend time and money for this?

And maybe on other dealer.

If there's bug inside since the last firmware, all currently available in many store maybe they could impacted by this bug...

As i said in a previous message, i currently play on XDJ-RX2.

I also have a second USB key " Kingston 64go " and it's working fine.

So really a possibility to solve the problem?

If the last firmware is faulty, for most common user no possibility to downgrade the version?

OK I feel foolish...I had an incident occur just a moment ago while playing.  

I was using the Lexmark 16GB thumb drive as my library, like usual, with iphone connected to Remotebox. 

Deck 1 was playing a track, no efx or loops or other devices connected to R1, then turned on deck 2's headphones, the previous track was still playing, I pressed on the next track in remotebox to load deck 2 and brrrrrrr.   

What other info can I provide or what other tips does the Pioneer team recommend here?  Kind of a bummer  to relay this but life happens. 

Is there a performance or error log file we can create on the thumb drives to capture what is happening on the units?  Maybe that file can be synced at the same time as the tracks in Rekordbox? 

I have a tech looking at my XDJ-R1 today.  So far there are not any problems with the hardware.  I told her about a post in this thread that mentioned diodes.  I pasted it below.

"It is DEFINITELY a hardware / construction problem. I took my unit to the main official technical service in Madrid and the issue was very well known to them already. They repaired the 'control circuit' by substituting 4 diodes, they called the parts '414-COMBO-401' if that means something to anyone else apart from this specific technical service. These four diodes cost 4€."

She has yet to find that specific number on any of the parts in my controller.  I also searched the service manual and could not find it.  The part does exist because I see it for sale online.  Perhaps this part was substituted for another part number?  Not sure but just hoping to find a solution.  Still seems like another firmware update should be released.

I was hoping that some of you were still following this thread but I guess not.  My tech could not find any hardware issues.  She believes it is firmware.  If you see this Pioneer, please try to come up with a solution.

I found a used XDJ-R1 on ebay today and the freezing issue is actually mentioned in the description.  This has been a problem for way to many people.
