@Matt > I've saved you the effort.

@Angus > I'm not getting "shirty", I just don't see why it's such a big deal to have a number, symbol and cap.

@Morgo > We're trying to figure that out -- currently the "Safari Mobile" browser ID is what's causing it to load that way.

The biggest request I have is:

MORE sub forums then the last site. Please one for each model.  I want to be able to just bookmark and read forums that is specifically relevant to the model of mixer and CDJ i have.

Other then that, 1st impressions are that this forum seems a bit 'dumbed down' & doesn't have the basic interface, not just like Pioneer last forum, but all standard forums work like and what people are used to.  So far I don't see the advantage in this host.

@DJ SPiRiTMooN > As previously noted, the "dumbed down" feel is likely due to the fact we're missing a few key features you're familiar with from the previous forums.  We hope to get some of those implemented soon!

As for the sub-forums, the reason they've been consolidated rather than split to a per-product layout is many posts are similar in nature, or cross over more than one product.

@Pulse,

Hey man,

Over the years my impression is the posts that are similar in nature or crossover are minimal.  I have certainly never found reason to check a post for a product I don't own.  I'm sure the CDJ 900 owners are just as fed up as the CDJ 2000 owners as having to constantly pick through threads that are applicable.  As for the mixers I'm just as uninterested in all posts on the 900 800 400 350 as I'm sure those owners are with all the mixers they don't own etc.

If what your saying really is the case then my preference would be to make a Mixer Generic and CDJ Generic thread where people can talk about wires, levels, comparisons, and whatever, & then specific model threads.

Basically I would like to be able to use RSS or mail notification on threads that are specific, but will only do that if it is relevant product posts only.  I don't want my phone dinging away all day notifying a bunch of posts that have no chance of interest to me.

i really don't like it, I agree a bulletin board would have been much much better

it has a very confusing layout and you lose fast the focus on the important rubrics

so far so long

There does not seem to be very many subforums. The only issue I could have with that is not being able to find information when I need it. If I can't do that easily I'll just start another thread. Many threads on one topic = annoyance for anyone trying to respond. The again, if you have ever moderated a forum you know that most people start a new thread anyway :-(

The lack of editing deleting etc is so fundamental but I guess it's been covered.

Oh, and under Firmware etc it seems to me to say that the latest CDJ2000 firmware is 4.01?

Also not a fan of the "New" forums confusing and I feel like im on some website commenting on a rebecca black  video on break.com and not the forums for the premiere "club standard" DJ equipment company.

Hey everyone. Hope everyone on the Pioneer forums is having a fantastic week. I just wanted to say that I really enjoy the new layout for the Pioneer forums. At first change in anything is hard to digest. Change happens all the time. In this case we are looking at this forum page. With time I have a great feeling everyone will get use to how the new Forum works. Once everyone gives it a chance and adapts to the new structure we will most likely enjoy the the feel, and have a better understanding as to how to make the best out of it for our individual and question needs. Sure it will take time with adapting to the new feel of this new forum base. However in the long run it will be a much better experience.

Is it possible at all in the main forum home view to ignore stickies in the latest topics thread?  From the home view the RekordBox forum looks like it never gets updated.

I like the new layout. Its easier to browse. Doesn't seem so separated, as far as the "rooms" are concerned. That's at least how I feel.

Personally I don't mind adjusting to change. The old forums were a tiny bit more organized I suppose, but who is to say this forum wont be as organized as the old one in due time. Apart from a little cosmetic changes, the forums to me seem to run a little faster, but that is also because there is less clutter at the moment. Missing a few old options like post count, which is important to some people. I just don't see why we cant have some of the old and some of the new, I really enjoyed the organization and sub-categories of the old forum, I wouldn't mind this one at all if it just had that, but in all my years of testing new software and video games I've learned that the developers RARELY revert back to their old systems even if the majority of the people HATE it (Valve's Steam, anyone!?). IT will all get better in time and I assure all of you will have your concerns addressed and fixed in the future.

The thing I really don't like is the loss of the information from the old forums like firmware updates, and that everything that was never responded to in the old forum is gone. So I will never get the answer to issues I'm having unless I make a new post about it, and then play the game of reanswering all of your questions about the problem until you stop responding. Then again since I've never been offered a solution to the problem it doen't really matter does it?

I'm not very keen on the new layout either, but I'll reserve final judgement until I've tried it for a while.

Another thing that appears to be missing is "Who's online" which I liked.

The whole layout looks like a twitter type page to me.

Still, let's see what I think in a few weeks ;)
