I was going by what foster said about a transfer from win7 thinking maybe he got more info from you then what was posted, possibly an email or such. This is not a "Lion" issue being that everyone I know has Lion and we all use the link with no issues, It s a "Its something with YOUR laptop setting" issue. Is this a clean install of lion or just an upgrade? If it was an upgrade, Try doing a clean install of lion instead of an upgrade, i mean seriously, anyone that had a clue about computers never upgrades when a new build of an OS comes, always backup and do a clean install o f the OS and copy stuff back on.

on a side note, people like myself do not work for pioneer, we simply come on the forum to help people out with some issues they may have like yourself and try and do our best to help even though we are blind to how you may have setup everything, that being said, Try changing your attitude a little bit because honestly no one is going to help you when every other post is caps locks and dropping f bombs, This is not our fault your setup does not work, if you want help, then ask, if your going to be a dick every time you reply, then good and hope you get the shit working by yourself cause your setup not working doesn't effect me one bit while I use mine trouble free 4 times a week at gigs

I'm running a virtual pc in my osx (win7) and it works fine so no it has nothing to do with hardware compatibility as they both share the same ressources....

hey wonk, sorry if you have tried this, this thread has turned into 2 different issues BUT, Have you tried exporting your DB, delete the "pioneer" folder in the root of /user/libray, reopen RB, It will recreate a brand new folder and you will starting from scratch. Maybe something corrupt came over in the migration. Play around for a while to see if it crashes, if not, import your DB you saved before the delete and see what happens then. I know many people have had the "crashing on open" issue with macs and pioneer said they are working to get it fixed for 1.5.2

No problem juan, just to clarify, the one not working is fresh out of the box from apple with lion on it already or was it a snow leopard laptop that you upgraded to Lion?

@BriChi > Juan mentioned it was previously Snow Leopard and he upgraded to Lion.

@Juan > I apologize for my misunderstanding in the beginning. But have you tried my most recent suggestions so it can help Pulse diagnose what is going on? Pulse will most likely request you try what I have mentioned, and ask you to reply with the results. Please and thank you. :)

Juan, you can take the downloaded lion update you should still have on the laptop from the download (if not you can redownload for free being it should know you have the purchased original upgrade or a validate apple free upgrade) and make a bootable usb or cd so you can boot either one to the lion install, once you boot from the installer, go to utilities and format the macs drive then exit the utility and continue with the install

here are instructions to do this: http://www.macworld.com/article/161069/2011/07/make_a_bootable_lion_installer.html

Thanks Bro (@Pulse) you will have an environment very close to my, I upgrade from snow leopard to Lion. By the way Rekorbox works Just Fine With the Lion The only problem I have is Droping Song on any of my 3 CDJ-2000, the very crazy thing is that I could actually listen to any song I drop On my DJM-2000 using the CUE LINK option with my headphones.

Im very close to make a clean Install of the Lion but I have Hope that Pulse can Help me or in any case the new Version of Rekorbox is around the corner.

Thanks to every one for your help and support.

I'm running:

  • OS X 10.7.2 (upgraded from 10.6.8)
  • Rekordbox 1.5.1.8
  • DJM-2000 with firmware 2.01
  • CDJ-2000 with firmware 4.05

I was unable to replicate the problem you're experiencing.

Are you able to connect the CDJ directly to the laptop and play a track via the link that way?

DO I need a cross Over Cable to make a direct connection from mi Laptop to the CDJ-2000 or I can use any regular ethernet cable ???

I think that the DJM-2000 does not hace the latest firmware 2.01 the CDJ-2000 does have the firmware 4.05.

also try plugging the ethernet into your router directly, disable wireless and see if you can get online, could be a faulty ethernet port on the mac or the port is not being recognized by Lion.

Also when plugged in, go to system preferences/network and make sure you have an ethernet interface in the left side window and its connected

If he's using a DJM-2000, the switch / hub / router is unnecessary... and if the DJM-2000 Cue Link works, I'd say the ethernet port on the Mac is working okay...

so juan, connect the DJM2000 to the laptop alone, no cdjs, link it up and confirm you can drop tracks from RB to the mixer and listen IF this works, pull the cat5 from the mixer and go right to a cdj, If this works then your issue could be a cable or possibly something the DJM maybe routing wrong through the built in switch, Its unlikely but worth a shot

My dear friends all cables are CAT6 and remember that I can drop song to the DJM-2000 and the fact that I can see the 3 CDJ-2000 on mi RB interface I can see when they change color in play or cue mode. Droping Song on the cd player give me the error:

ERROR - (E8302) E-8302: PLAYER ERROR (C611).

What does the technical manual for the CDJ-2000 say about this two errors ???

Thanks Again tomorrow I will test connecting the CD players directly to my MAC, and by the way The ethernet connection is on the TOP of the List, the firewall is turn off and the WIFI connection is OFF.
