RekordBox "Release Date" Field

Hi there,

I got a really annoying issue with rekordbox [2.0.2], I'm using the "Release Date" field, so I can really know when a track has been released.

I did it in approx 1500 tracks, and was soooo happy because it was very clear for me... until I right click and select the "Reload Tag" option.... then *ALL* release date reset to the current date... what a lost a time :/ please please fix this issue, this is a very usefull field but it turns totally useless with this issue.

Issue occurs each time I use the "reload tag" option. tried with differents tracks / one track / multiples tracks at once / etc...

Thanks a lot.

QD.

I just saw this happen in 4.1... I did a reload tags and it appears all of my thousands of release dates that I've had for so long are now gone.

@Ben > Did you store the release date within rekordbox or was that tag on the track originally when you imported it to rekordbox?

These were standard mp3s from a variety of sources, such as beatport, traxxsource, etc. Using an id3 viewer, I can see the date is in this format- 2015-01-26. Additionally, note that the software is properly reading and displaying this data on initial import. It is only lost once doing a "reload tag" operation.

Please refer to my post detailing this issue here: https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206611866-Release-Date-metadata-stripped-from-mp3-files-4-1-x
