Hi Pioneer, any chance of some help with this please. It's almost 3 months since I logged my issue without it even been acknowledged

12) Provide as much detail of the issue here: All my tracks load up & analyse ok & will sync onto my USB sticks but as soon as I drag & drop a track into the player I get a message saying "Unexpected Application Error" then RB crashes. The only time this doesn't happen is if I have the player in "Simple" view but that's no use for setting cue points, using quantize etc.
I've followed the advice on the "Read me first" post (renaming databases etc) I've deleted & re-installed RB & have just installed Ver 3.0.2 - it still happens. Please help, thanks.

Dear Mark Rocca. I did have the very same problem. However, after some time the problem seem to be resolved automatically.
Yesterday I noticed this problem on a laptop from a friend of mine. I'm trying to help him to solve this problem now.
Are you still having this problem, or did you manage to fix it ? If so, may I ask you how you did it ?
KG, Fons
Hi Fons, I'm still having the same problem. I've tried deleting & re-installing Rekordbox, I've installed the latest version & using the backup databases etc but RB still crashes when I drop a track into the player in anything other than "simple" view. If you do find a solution, I'd love to hear from you as Pioneer have not made any comment as you can see :(
Thanks
Mark
Mark.
Including you I know 3 persons who use record box and this problem occurs with all 3 off them. So I think it's very strange that we just cannot find the solution in all these faq's, toublesolving forums and other "helpfull" supportarticals on these support pages. Statisticly it must be the most common rb problem that Exist.
I trying the find if I can determine when the error does and when it doesn't occur. Do you have this problem with all tracks? Or are there any tracks that will work properly?
Kg, Fons
No it happens with any track I drop into the player when it's in 1 or 2 player view. I get a message saying "Unexpected Application Error" then RB crashes. The only time this doesn't happen is when the player is in "simple" view
Ok. Good to know. One of these days I will continue to try fixing this bug. When I have new info, I'll let you know.
Kg, Fons
Thanks Fons - will do the same
Mark
Both > Please try these instructions -- note that they are for a Mac, but the same thing applies to Windows, although the file is located in a slightly different location - Win 7/8: C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox
Hey guys, the engineers want to confirm that the instructions previously provided were followed properly as they note:
Because of the "smart quotes" function of Mac, when a user changes the text 0 to 1, the double quotation text is changed so that the value can be read as 0 instead of 1 even after changing the value.
- From the “Go” menu in the Finder of Mac, select "Go to Folder...".
- In the popup window, please type in “~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox” to open the folder and find “rekordbox3.settings”.
- Control-click or right-click “rekordbox3.settings” then select “Open with” -> “Other...” and use TextEdit to open the file.
- Find the following line in the settings file.
<VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="0"/>
- Then, change the value from “0” to “1” as shown below.
<VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="1"/>
**Please note: Be sure to copy the text "1" including the quotation mark " " **in for example,
<VALUE name="nexusServerIsActivated" val="1"/> in the TextEdit and paste them instead of directly typing the value 1.
Close the file and restart rekordbox.
Please try this process to solve the crash problem.
Agan, COPY AND PASTE, do not simply change 0 to 1.
Hi Pulse, I'm using Windows 7 so opened the file in Notebook but the line you have highlighted is not there. I've attached a copy FYI
Thanks
Mark
And you're running 3.2?
Yes it's 3.2.0 rev.3059-4167
Hello Pulse. My friend also runs the latest version 3.2.0. I was not able to check his version of the "Rekordbox3settings"file.
To both:
On mine Rekordbox the problem doesn't occur. In my settings3 file the line does excist. Is it worth trying for Mark to copy /paste this line from my file ? Or better not ?
It's possible that the setting is Mac-only, I'll check with engineers about this issue.
To Pulse:
Did the engineers came up with an answer yet ?
KG, Fons
Sorry - I had answered this question in another thread (this is why I ask each user to post their own problem to a new topic)...
This is only a Mac setting; the Windows version does not have this line within the settings file.
Hi Pulse - This is my topic/thread & I was also waiting for you to come back with an answer from the engineers in respect of Windows users.
So where are you with this please?
Thanks
Mark
@Mark > Sorry, @Fons sidetracked me. ;) See? Exactly why we ask users to post to their own topic instead of "me too."
The last update I have is the engineers are still investigating the Windows crashing issues, I'll keep you posted as I have this ticketed.
Ok, thanks Pulse. I look forward to hearing from you
@Fons - watch this space amigo
Now I'm confused. I am running Windows 7 and the line does excist. As I told you in my March 11. :
"To both:

I was told by engineers that this function doesn't exist within Windows, only Mac... so if you've found it, perhaps they forgot it was within Win7? I don't know what to tell you.
to Mark.
Perhaps you could try it, if you feel confident about it.
Kg, Fons
@Pulse
What is your view on what Fons is suggesting? If you & the engineers think it's the right thing to do, can you supply me with detailed instructions please
Thanks
Mark
You could certainly try changing that line if it appears, it won't wreck things to test it, however I'm told that it's an OS X setting only so if it doesn't do anything, that would be why.
The engineers are still investigating.
Hi Pulse, I downloaded v3.2.1 last night & things are worse, now when I go to open Rekordbox I get the same message (Unexpected application error) The programme won't even open now! Please advise :(
@Mark > Can you go to the following folder:
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox
You may see a crashes folder, can you attach the most recent crash log from within?
Hi Pulse, Thanks for your quick reply, I've attached the file you requested.
Mark
@Mark > Thanks, I've passed that along for investigation.
Thanks Pulse
